Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family, has been appointed as High Commissioner for Bangladesh. High Commissioner Khan represents Bangladesh in the Global Innovation and Technology Leaders Committee of the Grand Assembly of the World Business Angels Investment Forum.

Mr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Daffodil Family has involved himself with numerous challenges during his attachment as the President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the Bangladesh Computer Samity, Member of Prime Minister’s ICT Task Force, etc. He has made great contributions to the establishment of such entities as the ICT Ministry, IT Incubator, and BCS Computer City. The Bangladesh government has awarded Mr Khan the status of ‘Commercially Important Person’ for his role. Mr Khan is the Chairman of the Global Trade Committee and Director of the World IT and Services Alliances, the world’s largest IT organization. During the year 2013, Mr Khan initiated a project to create 2,000 new entrepreneurs. He has written and published several books, including Uddokta Unnoyon Nirdeshika (Bengali), Art of Living, A Journey Towards Entrepreneurship and Employability 360°. To develop a self-employed generation, he aims to create more job opportunities; his initiatives to promote entrepreneurship include business incubators, start-ups, venture capitals, a department of Entrepreneurship at the university level. His commitment to development in the field of business, entrepreneurship, leadership and human resources development has led to appointments as Visiting Professor at numerous universities in such countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Kyrgyzstan, and so on. He has received honorary professorships from Adam University in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Issyk-Kul State University in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan; and he holds honorary doctorates from two Kyrgyz universities: Ala-Too International University in Bishkek and Naryn State University in Naryn. In recognition of his contributions, Mr Khan has received many national and international awards. He established the Daffodil Foundation for underprivileged people.

Golam Monowar Kamal, Managing Director and partner of Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited (BVCL), has been appointed as Senator to the Grand Assembly of the World Business Angels Investment Forum. Senator Kamal represents Bangladesh in the Global Investors Committee of the Grand Assembly.
Golam Monowar Kamal is the Managing Director and partner of Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited (BVCL). He has diverse professional experience in during his 27 years of carrier and business experience. He worked in several Internationally development institutions in Asia, Africa and North America. During his carrier he leads several Information and knowledge units of UN-Habitat, UNDP, UNOCHA, WWF and IUCN in 14 countries in various leading positions implement a range of large information management initiatives, development funding initiatives. He has extensively traveled more than 80 countries around the world. Prior to join United Nations, he managed several key resource planning and management projects in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Nigeria, Libya and Bangladesh. In 1999, he was awarded as International-fellow by WWF-US in Washington-DC. He is also founder of several Non-profit organization and an Angel Investor. - My early life and Education: I was born in 1972 in a religious and prominent family. I have grown up in the heart of The city of Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. I obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts from Dhaka University. Then I admitted for Masters in Arts in English.
From the school life, I was very much eager to business. At the age of 16/17, I started business with Singapore and Thailand.
- My Business Career: I had more eagerness and devotion in business as well as sports from my school life. As a result, now I am involved and directing restaurant, export-import, real estate developing, textile, readymade garments and international human resource recruitment consultancy businesses.
Now I am the Chairman & CEO of RAHMAN GROUP OF COMPANIES. The sister concern of Rahman Group are Rahtex industries limited for Readymade garments and Textile manufacturing, Lobster (Pvt) Ltd for Thai-Chinese Restaurant and Party Center, Rahtech Developers Limited for real estate and building developing, Rahman Overseas for Int’l Human resources consultancy and Rahman Overseas Trade link for export – Import, trading and Int’l consultancy.
Social and Humanitarian Engagement:
On the other hand, I have been also engaged with some social and religious activities. I am the senior vice president of Association of Sitoriyo Karate-Do, founder and president of Fatema-Mahmub Foundation, founder of Fatema-Mahbub Hafezia Madrasah, Director of Dhaka Public School and College, adviser of Bangladesh Kreta Vokta Foundation (consumers association) and Bangladesh Sangbadik Samity. I am the Chairman of Diplomatic Journal, a prominent monthly journal, especially for the diplomats.
- Business Association Membership and Activities: At the same time, I am also the member of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Bangladesh Association of Int’l Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA), and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce &Industry (DCCI). Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
I became a member of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) in the year of 2001. I was nominated standing committee member of DCCI first in 2004 for Tourism and Service Sector Dev. I have been nominated as co-convener for the standing committee on Labor and manpower for the year of 2005 and for the year of 2006. Then I have been nominated as co-convener for the standing committee on National Transportation, Communication and Infrastructure Development Sector for the year of 2010.
In the year 2011 I was nominated as the convener for National Communication, Transportation and Infrastructure Dev. Standing Committee and in 2012 and 2013 I have been nominated as the convener of the Standing Committee of Human Resource Skills Development & Overseas Employment and in 2014 I have been nominated as the convener of the important Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and tourism Services Sector Development of The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI),a most prominent and world recognized business organization and the largest Chamber in Bangladesh.
Organizational Position:
I am the Founder and President of Bangladesh Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BQCCI).
I am elected vice president (Head in Bangladesh) of World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) which head office in New Delhi, India.
I am elected director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), the largest chamber of commerce in Bangladesh.
I am the Chairman of Bangladesh Bamboo, Cane and Mates Crafts Foundation (BBCMF)
- Meetings and Seminars: I have participated in too many meetings and seminars at home and abroad. I have participated in several meetings and seminars in Netherlands as a delegation member of Bangladesh trade Mission to the Netherlands.
I have participated in World Chamber Congress program by ICC World Chamber Federation in Doha, Qatar and Africa Global Business Forum, Dubai.
I have meetings with different chamber of commerce in UAE, Bahrain and Qatar as a business delegation from Bangladesh.
I led the delegation from Bangladesh including Industry minister to attend ICSME, international conference in New Delhi, India in 2017
I have presided over a meeting of a Saudi Business Community delegation at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in 2006.
I have been invited as only one Bangladeshi in foreigners’ lunch program by H.H. Sk. Mubarak Al Nahiyan, Education minister of Abu Dhabi in 2008 and 2012.
I have attended in ICSME 2018 in Dubai, UAE in the yearly conference of WASME and given speech as the only vice president of WASME.
I have been honored by Mr. Abdullah Jayed bin Jarwa al subeye, prominent businessman and higher officer of Riyadh Municipality Corporation for my outstanding contribution to Saudi Arabia along with the DCM of Bangladesh Embassy Riyadh.

I have visited many countries like, Australia, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, India, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Macau, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates , United States of America, Vietnam. Maximum of these countries I have visited several times which has enlightened me to be a good businessman and helped me to be connected with business communities around the world.
Awards and Achievements:
I have achieved several awards and crest in home and abroad for my outstanding contribution to society and business, like, BKVA Gold Medal, DCRU award, TRAB award, life time achievement award by Journalism Development Foundation, crest by Voice of America (VOA) Fan Club, Glamour Media Award, Atish Dipankar Gold Medal, Mother Teresa Gold Medal for the contribution in business etc. Crest form Vietnam ambassador, Brunei Ambassador, Malaysian DCM, Association of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia, ICSME Int’l award from Dubai for the outstanding contribution in SME sector in home and abroad.
I am a fortunate father of two children. I have a son SM Adnan Rahman of 20 years and a daughter Sayeda Fatema Afnan of 16 years.
